The recharging pump is an engine driven or electric motor driven fixed displacement piston pump, which is used to "recharge" the accumulator for subsequent starting attempts. With an adjustable unloading valve incorporated into the design, the pump redirects the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic tank once the desired accumulator pressure is reached. Numerous mounting options are available.
